Procurement Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to provide procurement and administrative support for The Housing Authority of the City of Ft. Pierce (“FPHA”) procurement operations. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, expediting, and executing various procurement-related tasks for the organization. Under general supervision, purchase supplies, materials, equipment and professional services in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring the agency abides by ethical, legal and federal regulatory requirements; and performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements are an A.A. Degree in business administration or purchasing and least three (3) years of purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have, or be willing to obtain within one (1) year of hiring, a Contract Management and Procurement Certification.

Maintenance Mechanic 

 

The Housing Authority of the City of Fort Pierce (HACFP) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Maintenance Mechanic. Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled and limited skilled work of a varied nature involving the maintenance of buildings and other facilities. Duties require considerable contact with tenants and the general public. Tasks include work involving carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning and electrical repairs, plastering and painting in the maintenance of Housing Authority properties; and performs other related duties as assigned.

 

A High School diploma or GED and at least four (4) years general building maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required as is. NOTE: Completion of an apprentice program will count as two (2) years of experience.
